See...These are Professionals!

When we meet an Engineering student, the impression we get is of a brilliant and sophisticated person. At the very first moment we make the decision...”Wow, he/she is doing engineering...must be intelligent”. However, there is a lot of difference between an “Engineer” and “Educated Engineer”. Being an engineering student, I would only talk about engineers.

Everybody is proud to call themselves engineers or professionals. Even after that, these people have not changed their way of thinking. Very few people succeed in upgrading their mentalities. Well, i am talking about both boys and girls. They are always involved in silly gossips and “masaaledaar” chats. I feel pity that even I get involved in these silly things many a times. Really SICK!

Talking about love life of these guys and gals...they have completely changed the meaning of LOVE. Lust has replaced love now. The guys want someone on the back seats of their bikes and the girls want someone who would keep them entertaining.

Disrespecting the teachers, hooting while attending lectures, enjoying having “fights” etc is a daily routine of engineers. If these people have such GUTS, why dont they do something praiseworthy for their institutes? Why are we always interested in talking about “Love Affairs” of others?

I dont understand why our thinking is not being upgraded with our education standards. Of course, that does not mean we should not enjoy life but we should take care that our enjoyment does not ruin somebody else's name. Think BIG yaar!

first of all lemme tell u that ur taking all this a bit too seriously.(but that's ur prerogative)

for one, im not proud at all of calling myself an engineer, infact i'm so disillusioned, i'm contemplating quitting it.

wots the harm in gossiping once in a while. if gettin involved in it makes u feel pity for urself or makes u sick then y do u do it?? just so that u can melt in the crowd and not feel left out??

lust.....lets c.......it was, is and alwaz will be a very important part of love.it hasn't replaced love, its just that its being discussed wid more openess lately. and as for the bike thing, even i won't call it love but for want of a better word.

gutsy ppl, well, y shud they do something for an institute that's not doing anything for them(read ur own blogs).they r not in it for charity are they??

and according to me, the reason y our thinking is not being upgraded wid the education is coz our education system does not encourage us to think. all it compels us to do is mug and cram all year round and then vomit it all out in the examinations.

well...thats my opinion, and i think everybody is entitled to an opinion...mine. (kiddin)

nice blog...will b on the lookout for more.

Gossiping is really a social exercise. However futile, it does have a significance in making social connections. Although, this does not indicate that one has to compromise just to feel connected.

It has to be a fine balance :)
